01. Who I am
My name is Gebhard Maurer and was born 1974 in Vienna / Austria. I have a wonderful wife, two daughters and live in Raglitz, a little village in the south of Lower Austria. After my studies at the HTL-Mödling specializing in 'Electrical Engineering',I work in the IT industry for 25 years as Director Software Development. Since 2022 I'm the Head of IT for one of the leading building materials groups in Austria. I also have rich experience in requirement engineering, customization of software applications and web design.
In my youth I worked a lot with 3D modeling and 3D rendering and produced pretty nice 3D images and movies. I also like to travel and in the course of my previous work I was able to visit many places in our world. On my travels I take a lot of photos and videos which are also shown here.
Besides my travels, I still love good food and hiking around the Alps with my wife and our dog. The mountain bike is also often part of the game. Along with my passion for photography and videography came a fascination for astronomy. Our solar system and the formation of the universe began to fascinate me more and more.

03. What I Do
Photography is an essential part of my life. Any project begins with the collection of photo materials. In addition, photography allows us to capture the brightest and most unforgettable moments of life in history.
Videography is simply the production of videos from conception to the final product, from shooting the video to setting and editing. Videos breathe life into photos and show unforgettable moments in sound and motion.
Astrophotography is the imaging of astronomical objects, celestial events, or areas of the night sky. Besides being able to record the details of extended objects such as the Moon, Sun, and planets, modern astrophotography has the ability to image objects invisible to the human eyes such as dim stars, nebulae, and galaxies.
As Traveller I try to find new an interesting places all over the world to explore my passion as a photographer, videomaker and astronomer. Travelling is a great way to combine all your hobbies.
The Internet has long become an integral part of our life and any business needs it representation on the Internet. I design websites of any complexity, beginning from simple HTML sites to various CMS and E-Commerce.
3D CONCEPT DESIGN
Any product starts with an idea. I am ready to implement your idea into a 3D model for further use in advertising or other visualizations. It can help further refine the product and evaluate various metrics. You can even touch it thanks to 3D printing technology.
Working more then 25 years in the software development area mean, that I can help creating any kind of software. It also includes all processes from the conception of the desired software through to the final manifestation of the software, typically in a planned and structured process.
